This website accepts requests for overweight and overdimension truck permits and submits them to the Illinois Tollway’s Commercial Vehicle Permit System (CVPS) for processing. If the information submitted is within the weight and size limits established by the State of Illinois, a permit will be issued by email.

Superload permits must be analyzed by Engineering. Please fill out this Permit Form and email to iltollwaypermits@getipass.com for review. We will email you the results. For a standard truck permit form Click Here.

If you do not receive an emailed permit within 5 minutes of request, use This Guide to help troubleshoot any issues with your email. It is important to keep and retain the Web Request number until the permit is generated.

To use this site, you must register and obtain a User Name and Password by calling the Tollway truck permit desk at 630-241-6800. EXT. 4847. The permit desk is available Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Permit Services and Third Parties are not allowed to request login credentials. Trucking companies/Firm/and or Person can request a log in with This Form. Email login form to iltollwaypermits@getipass.com.

Please note that if the vehicle axle weights, spacings, or dimensions are over standard limits, (Superloads) the permit must be manually reviewed. You will be notified by email if additional review is required.

An Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) truck permit number is required to apply for an Illinois Tollway truck permit.

Fees for overdimension permits are $15. Overweight permit fees are $35 or $150. An invoice for the fee amount will be sent to the company address provided. An invoice will be issued for permit fees around the 15th of each month. The invoices will be sent to the billing address or email address.
